The original Honda car, the first built in Ohio and in America, is now in its eighth generation. It remains a class leader in every way - quality, ride and handling. The Accord alone accounts for nearly half of the $20 billion in goods and services produced by Honda in Ohio. And it stands as a symbol of Honda's commitment to America.

Introduced to Ohio in 1985 at the Marysville Auto Plant, the Civic moved several miles west to the East Liberty Auto Plant in 1989. It remains a mainstay of Honda production in the United States. Some models of Civic, such as the sporty Si, were designed in Ohio as well. And Ohio's own Civic GX is the only dedicated natural gas-propelled car mass produced in America and claims the title of having the cleanest internal combustion engine throughout the world.

The CR-V came to Honda's East Liberty, Ohio plant with a British accent. When CR-V production was established in America in 2007, U.S. shipments from Honda's operations in England were phased out. The CR-V received a warm Buckeye welcome. Not long after coming to Ohio, the CR-V, redesigned for the 2007 model year, became the best-selling sport utility vehicle in America.

The Element has had a look all its own since 2002 when it was introduced at Honda's East Liberty Auto Plant. The plant has produced right-hand drive units for export to Japan and fancy sport versions like the SC. The Element was the first Honda light truck designed and produced in Ohio. Its fanciful colors, like Metallic Root Beer, share a paint shop with the Civic and CR-V, which uses only environmentally-friendly waterborne paint.

With a turbocharged engine assembled in Anna, Ohio, and a body built in Marysville, Ohio, the Acura RDX is super fun to drive. But it is something else as well, something very important to Honda. There is no better vehicle than the RDX to demonstrate the factory flexibility that keeps Honda's plant operations stable. Ohio is home to the gold standard of the motorcycle business - the Gold Wing. This top-of-the-line Honda motorcycle is a touring model known around the world for its quiet, effortless ride and safety features such as the industry's only optional airbag. The Gold Wing also offers a navigation system, anti-lock brakes, heated grips and other amenities that make it a class leader. This complex piece of machinery is a testament to the high-quality work of the associates who build it at Honda's Marysville Motorcycle Plant.
